The story was good because they explain the way that people in America help poor people when they do it. All the people are different some of them only help people once a year but other people like to help more often. I'm the kind of person that prefers to help people more frequently.
I like this story,thanksgiving. It is very important in Amerecan history and family. On the other hand, it is very sad. Who deosn't have any families. For example, the old Gentlemen. He deosn't have any family. He want to gave thanksgiving food to friend, Suffy. Suffy has already eaten yet but he ate agan. The old men didn't eat three days to gave food to the Suffy. After I read this a story. I am very sory old gentlemen.
I think the irony of this story, is our first tought could be who had hungry was the poor man, but who was really starving was the old gentleman who everybddy could think he doesn't have problems with the money and for could buy some food for him, but he didn't eat three days. Some people like invite for dinner poor people in Thanksgiving, that is a beautiful tradition, but we must think help people all the year.
Was a good story with a surprised end, I think that some people needs this kind of help more often than once a year, but the Old Man maybe was doing what he can.
It’s a really ironic story. I feel very sorry for the old gentleman because his annual charity comes from a wrong motivation. I think that his benefaction is for his pride, not for poor people. He looks like trying to satisfy himself.
